IRRIS is a four member girl group under Justice Records consisting of I.L, Liv, Yunseul, and Nina.

IRRIS stands for "I tRuely Realized that I could be all colors" and "I is the Reflection of Reality and Illusions".

Members were revealed with mysterious animations one by one starting on June 13th, 2022...

and the group officially debuted on July 6th, 2022 with the mini album and title track of the same name, "WANNA KNOW".IRRIS has a unique goddess concept that's tied the Greek goddess behind their name. Iris is the messenger goddess of the sky, sea, and rainbows. She describes herself as cold and stern when it comes to leading.During her time with GOOD DAY and REDSQUARE, she was the group's center because of her great charisma on stage. This strength has only continued to shine on in IRRIS as she's often praised for her use of facial expressions while on stage and her strong stage presence. Her charisma also spills off stage via her blog posts in which she details her daily life.

I.L also previously participated in a couple survival shows: The Unit and GIRLS RE:VERSE (under the name Yenycall). Her story in GIRLS RE:VERSE was inspired by her journey of debuting three times and failing to comeback (she counts the fictional girl group Cotton Candy as one of these groups).She also has an extensive acting history having starred in Love #Hashtag (2021), I Can See Your MBTI (2021), Nickname Pine Leaf (2021), IDOL: The Coup (2021), Villains (2024), Red Swan (2024), DNA Lover (2024), and Ready to Beat (2024).She is friends with and has worked with WJSN Exy, LABOUM Solbin, and EXID Hani in the project girl group Cotton Candy for the drama Idol: The Coup.She also previously trained at Polaris Entertainment with LOONA Hyunjin and Heejin and IZ*ONE Choi Yena.

Although she may look cold and fierce on the outside, she's actually a very sweet and bubbly person. She is the most extroverted and talkative member, so much so that members find it hard to keep up with her some times.Liv was initially introduced as the all rounder member of the group. In addition to her position as main rapper and dancer of the group, she boasts great variety skills, participates a ton in fashion, and shows off great vocal ability.Previously in GOOD DAY she only had the main dancer position, but after joining REDSQUARE she gained the lead rapper position. She took rap lessons to improve her skills and also practices lyric writing.

She along with Nina pursues modeling as they both signed a modeling contract in 2021. She attends a lot of fashion events and often gets sent trendy clothing to show off on her Instagram account and in her dance videos.She often gets praised for her clean and sharp dancing. Most notably, she's gone viral several times for her Instagram and TikTok dance videos. Fans often compare her to a princess because of her soft personality and bright smile.Although she looks small, her voice packs a punch. Her vocals have a soulful and emotional quality and her tone is often compared to SNSD Taeyeon. She can adapt her voice to fit both bright and solemn songs and showcases an impressive range with a lot of technique.Previously in GOOD DAY, she held the title of lead vocal and dancer and reduced her position to just lead vocal once joining REDSQUARE. As the main vocalist of IRRIS, her voices gets to take an even stronger presence in their music, adapting to a variety of styles and further proving her amazing vocal abilities.

She also is pursuing acting and has several roles including the lead character on I Can See Your MBTI (2021) and a small supporting character in Family Glory Returns (2023). In addition to acting, she's expressed a wish to do musical theater one day in the future.She communicates with fans the most often in IRRIS via Instagram lives, stories and IRRIS WORLD. She's also was the last member of the group to join and had the least amount of training (about 6 months with IRRIS members but got training beforehand at another unknown company) since all other members have debuted before.Nina is from Australia and is half Korean. She is currently studying law in university. She is the tallest member of the group and is often called giant baby as a result.Prior to joining IRRIS, Nina studied dance. It's not known what type of dance she studied, but it's most likely ballet and she's shown off some skills you'd gain from ballet in prior interviews. Her dance lines stand out the most while she dances. She also boasts a strong voice with great power and tone.

Nina is often praised for her strong visuals. She along with Liv is pursuing modeling as they both were signed by a modeling agency shortly after debut. They both have a series of ads and commercial films they've participated in together or on their own. Her tall height and great facial features makes her standout in any shoot she participates in.Nina is also quite silly and often says absurd things that makes other members burst out laughing. And even though she doesn't post that frequently to Instagram, she often leaves cute comments on other members posts.Nina isn't fluent in Korean yet, which often leads to her being unable to fully express herself sometimes with her members, but members have said they'll work on their English skills so that they can communicate more effectively. Despite these communication barriers, everyone is quite close with one another.

Disclaimer: This information is not necessary to know in order to get to know the group since this is a brand new start for all the members. However, if you'd like to understand more of the background behind the group and the history between members, you should read this section.Prior to debuting in IRRIS, 3/4 members (I.L, Liv, and Yunseul) debuted in TWO girl groups together: GOOD DAY (under C9 Entertainment) and REDSQUARE (under About Entertainment).

During their time in GOOD DAY, I.L, Liv, and Yunseul went by the stage names Genie, Cherry, and Nayoon respectively.I.L and Yunseul were a part of the GOOD MORNING subunit and released the song Beyond This Moment on their debut mini album. Liv was a part of the MIDNIGHT subunit and released the song Party After Party on their debut mini album.Shortly after debuting in GOOD DAY, I.L and other members of GOOD DAY went on the survival show The Unit. Despite one member gaining a ton of popularity from the show and almost making it into the final group, the group was never given a comeback and eventually disbanded.Five members of GOOD DAY were initially going to debut in a new girl group called REDSQUARE under a company made by former C9 Entertainment employees but in the process of preparing for debut, one member (Song Heejin) decided to leave the group in order to get married and pursue a solo career.

During their time in REDSQUARE, I.L, Liv, and Yunseul went by the stage names Green, ChaeA, and Ari respectively.REDSQUARE debuted about a year and a half after GOOD DAY disbanded in 2020. However, due to financial problems caused by COVID19, the group was unable to make a comeback.REDSQUARE initially switched to IRRIS' current company together and members began getting mainly acting gigs as they took singing, rap, and dance lessons to further prepare for their comeback. Their current CEO even revealed a comeback that the members prepared for under About Entertainment before their company got sold to their current one.

Unfortunately, in the process of preparing for their comeback, one member left the group, so their company scouted for a new member that eventually became Nina.
